Why Join Our CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture connects local farmers directly to consumers, getting you the freshest local produce available. You will be receiving only what is seasonally available from our local growers.

CSA Shares Details and Pricing

Option 1-Full Share, weekly: $700 for 18 weeks, weekly pick up of 8-12 items, of freshly harvested produce from local farms in SDG, Cornwall and the surrounding area.  Farms contributing to these shares include Brenda’s Veggies, Harvest Fairy, Avonmore Berry Farm, MacKinnon Gardens, Les Fruit du Poirier, Just Farm and more. 

Option 2-Full Share, Bi-weekly: $350 for 9 weeks, bi-weekly pick up of 8-12 items, of freshly harvested produce from local farms in SDG, Cornwall and the surrounding area.  Farms contributing to these shares include Brenda’s Veggies, Harvest Fairy, Avonmore Berry Farm, MacKinnon Gardens, Les Fruit du Poirier, Just Farm and more.   

Option 3-Half Share, weekly: $400 for 18 weeks, weekly pick up of 4-6 items, of freshly harvested produce from local farms in SDG, Cornwall and the surrounding area.  Farms contributing to these shares include Brenda’s Veggies, Harvest Fairy, Avonmore Berry Farm, MacKinnon Gardens, Les Fruit du Poirier, Just Farm and more. 

Details:

  • 50% deposit is required by May 15th and the remaining balance will be divided into two payments scheduled for July 15th and August 16th.  ** If payments are not made, the remaining shares will be forfeited.  For example; For Option 1, $350 will be due May 15th and the remaining two payments of $175 will be due July 15th and August 14th. 

    You will receive a recipe with each CSA share related to an item(s) in the box.  All subscriptions begin Saturday, June 20th.

What is in your shares?

Each week a Full Share will contain 8-12 different vegetables (and/or fruit if available).  Half Shares will contain 4-6 different vegetables (and/or fruit if available).

We will try to balance your shares so that you get a variety of greens, root vegetables, fruits, herbs, and other specialty items. 

Shares do tend to be smaller at the beginning of the season and larger towards the end, as produce and the variety becomes more abundant.

What if I'm away or can't pick up my share?

If you email us prior to pick up, you can arrange to have someone else pick it up.

We allow a one-time transfer to a friend or family member if you no longer wish to receive your shares.

What are your pick up times and locations?

Pick up will be at The Glengarry Market, 45 Main Street North, Alexandria between 11am-5PM on Saturdays. Please follow the recommendations regarding physical distancing due to COVID 19 when picking up your share. Delivery is NOT currently available for CSA shares.

Is the produce organic?

The majority of our farmers use all natural methods of growing and to control insects, however there are some that use minimal amounts of insecticides and fertilizers to promote growth.  We will indicate what farm the produce is from in each of the weekly CSA boxes for your convenience.
